Frendie PRO: The Exclusive App for the Lapland Universities’ Employees
Lapland Universities and Frendie:
Collaboration to promote workplace wellbeing and community building

At the heart of this collaboration is a mobile app developed by Frendie. Through this partnership, employees of both universities will have access to the Frendie PRO app, which makes it easy to network both in the workplace and during leisure time.

This app allows staff to network effortlessly, find new friends, and receive support in both their work and personal lives,
no matter where they are.
Over 1,000 employees will have access to the Frendie PRO platform.
Frendie PRO enables users to connect and network both within the workplace and during their leisure time, enhancing community and promoting overall wellbeing. With Lapland University campuses in Rovaniemi, Kemi, and Tornio, Frendie PRO helps unify this extensive area into a more cohesive community.
This collaboration represents a step towards a more connected and healthier work environment that addresses both the professional and social needs of employees.
Collaboration as part of an important research project
The collaboration begins immediately. Starting October 1, 2024, over 1,000 employees at the University of Lapland and Lapland University of Applied Sciences will have access to the Frendie PRO platform. During this pilot, the universities will also take part in a research project to see how a mobile app can improve employees' social wellbeing.
How to Create a Frendie PRO Profile

Create Your Account: Use your email address and choose a password. If you have a PRO code from your organization, you can enter it at this stage. You can also activate your PRO account later after creating your profile.

Verify Your Account: Click the verification link sent to your email to confirm your account.

Complete Your Profile: Fill in basic information such as your username, age, location, interests, a brief bio, and a profile picture. You can update and complete your profile later.

Log In: Sign in to the Frendie app using your email and password.

Explore and Connect: Browse profiles and send friend requests. You’ll find your organization’s PRO platform at the bottom left of the screen. If you didn’t enter the PRO code during login, you can add it here to access the PRO platform. You can also add and remove PRO codes in your profile settings.
Three ways to activate your PRO code
Activate your PRO account while creating your profile.
If you haven't created a user profile on Frendie yet, you can activate your PRO account right when setting up your profile.
Activate your PRO account on the PRO tab.
If you have already created a Frendie account, you can navigate to the PRO tab by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner of the app. Enter your PRO code in the designated field, press the plus sign, and your organization's PRO platform will be activated.
Manage your PRO accounts through your profile page.
If you want to activate another PRO account or deactivate a PRO account, you can do so through your profile page. Remember to save any changes to your profile by clicking the 'Save Changes' button.
